Dr Hurwitz

Israel S. Hurwitz, M.D.

Dr. Israel ”Bud” Hurwitz founded the practice here in Marlborough in 1963. He is a graduate of Cornell University and Tufts University School of Medicine. His orthopaedic surgery training took place at the Boston VA Hospital. He served two years in the US Army as a Captain. He is a former President of the Massachusetts Orthopaedic Association and of the Marlborough Hospital Medical Staff. He has served on the Marlborough Hospital Board of Trustees.

Steven H. Sewall, M.D.

Dr. Steven Sewall is a graduate of Brown University and obtained his medical degree from Cornell Medical College in 1965. He then completed the orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. During the Vietnam War, Dr. Sewall served in the U.S. Navy from 1970-1972 attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He has been with Orthopaedic Associates of Marlborough since 1972.

Dr Taylor

Harvey A. Taylor, M.D.

Dr. Harvey Taylor received his degree at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY, and was an orthopaedic resident at the New England Medical Center in Boston. After serving in the Army, he joined an orthopaedic practice in New Jersey. He moved back to Massachusetts in 1982 and became a partner at Orthopaedic Associates of Marlborough. He has been Chief of Surgery and President of the Medical Staff at Marlborough Hospital and has served on the Hospital Board of Trustees.

Markian D. Stecyk, M.D.

Dr. Markian Stecyk is a graduate of Boston University and Tufts University School of Medicine. After serving seven years in the Air Force Medical Corps he completed Orthopaedic training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Dr Stecyk joined Orthopaedic Associates in 1990 with a special interest in joint replacement surgery and sports medicine. He is a clinical instructor for the University of Massachusetts. Dr Stecyk has served as the Chief of Surgery at Marlborough Hospital since 1995.  He is a member of the hospital’s Board of Trustees.

Dr Hangen

Donald H. Hangen, M.D.

Dr. Don Hangen is a graduate of Williams College and the Stanford University School of Medicine. He completed his training in orthopaedics at the Harvard Orthopaedic Residency Program. After completing a Fellowship in Sports Medicine, he was on the staff at the Massachusetts General Hospital and an instructor at Harvard Medical School prior to joining Orthopaedic Associates of Marlborough in 1995. Dr. Hangen has served as President of the Massachusetts Orthopaedic Association and holds a faculty appointment at the University of Massachusetts.

Paul J.P. Pongor, M.D.

Dr. Paul Pongor is a graduate of Michigan State University and the University of Michigan School of Medicine. He has advanced studies in Biostatistics from the Yale University School of Public Health. He has also studied abroad in Europe and New Zealand. After finishing his orthopaedic training at the Harvard University Combined Residency program he completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Medicine in Boston. He joined Orthopaedic Associates of Marlborough in 2000.
